I was an active-duty service member in the USAF for 6 years and a military spouse for another 21 years until my husband retired. We are now the proud parents of an active-duty son in the USAF serving in the Pacific Air Force (PACAF). I am blessed to be a School Social Worker in the Travis Unified School District and I love it because it is a diverse district that values our service members. We are a Purple Star School and we celebrate Month of the Military Child every year. It is a privilege and an honor to serve in the district that takes care of the dependents of our service members at Travis Air Force Base. I am doing what I love for a population that is very near and dear to my heart and it feels great!
